Every data point I hold comes from one nation. No Japanese scores. No Korean scores. No gap between gold and silver. If that gap is eight points, the dominance story is confirmed. If it is 0.3 points, dominance is a manner of speaking.

Neither figure appears. The honest reading is therefore: dominance exists, but its magnitude is unquantified.

The biggest forward risk is not sporting, either. Shooting is a closed-skill discipline. No opponent interferes directly. Results are self-contained and structurally low-variance. The risk of a structural collapse in form is low. The real risk sits in the narrative built around her: a 19-year-old framed in appearance-first language, about to enter an event with an entirely different skill set. If she does not win there, someone will call it decline. Nobody will mention that the event is a different sport inside the same sport.
